Exams
- Mid-term exam 1 (Due 9/23): The instructor will provide a dataset and objectives and you will have roughly a week to conduct an analysis and write a short report (3-4 pages). The analysis will include visualization, model-building and spatial prediction. (Solution 1, Solution 2, Solution 3, Solution 4)
- Mid-term exam 2 (Due 10/9): You will select one of the methods described in Heaton et al (2019), write a description of the method, and apply the method to a large dataset described here and available here. Here are the 10 group presentations: G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G6, G7, G8, G9, G10 .
- Final exam (11/20,12:00 – 2:30): The final group project is to build a model the bias in Presidential election polling data. Data description, polling data for 2012 and 2016 and election results.
